11×14 inch piece of black paper or larger
11×14 inch piece of white paper or larger
strong light source or good flashlight
sharp pencil
Tape the white paper to the wall about level with your child’s head.
You child will need to either sit or stand sideways so you get the profile.
Turn the lights off and shine a bright light on the so the profile is cast on to the paper.
Trace the shadow.
Cut it out and adhere to the white paper.
Be sure to date the picture.
I remember doing something like this in kindergarten. It was really cool.
