January 22nd is National Blonde Brownie Day. A blondie is a brownie made without chocolate.
Blonde Brownie or Blondie’s
makes 48 bars
2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350F.
Mix flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
Melt butter in saucepan.
Add sugar.
Blend in eggs and vanilla.
Add flour mixture gradually, mixing well.
Spread in 13×9 inch pan.
Sprinkle with chips and nuts.
Bake 30 minutes.
Cool in pan; cut into bars.
