skill level: easy
cost: $5-$20*
craft time: 20 minutes

* this will cost less if you already have paints

This idea was inspired by M. Hoisch.

glass jar with a secure lid or use an unopened glass honey jar (soak in warm water and remove the labels)
acrylic or glass paint (colors suggested: brown for the stem, dark green for the leaves and red, green, or yellow for the apple skin)
paint brushes
apple stamp*

Thoroughly clean and dry the jar.
Paint the stamp in the desired colors and simple stamp the honey jar in several places.
If you’re planning on giving this out as a gift add a festive ribbon to the lid and a honey spoon.

* Make a stamp out of a potato or a large eraser. Using a sharp blade cut out the space around the design. The apple motif should be raised. An adult should do this step.
