Native Americans in the USA are the indigenous peoples within the continental United States. There are numerous tribes each with their own customs and traditional. The festivals and celebrations are either nature or spiritually related, often the two coincide.

The pow wow (or powwow, pow-wow, or pau wau) is a gathering of North America’s Native people. The word is derived from the Narragansett word “powwaw” which means “spiritual leader”. Modern pow wow’s are gatherings of both Native American and non-Native American people to honor the Native American culture.
